My husband and I just got home from a much needed vacation to Ft. Myers/Naples, Florida. I am not thrilled to be home in the literally freezing temps of Pennsylvania, so the next few posts will be recaps of our adventures there. Reminiscing on our vacation should keep warm and cozy thoughts inside my head.
Kruz’s parents and youngest sister live in Ft. Myers for part of the year, so we are blessed to have a warmer place to visit in the winter! The weather was actually quite chilly and rainy, even though winter is supposed to be the dry season in Florida, but we had no complaints. Any weather warmer that 32 degrees is a cause for celebration in my eyes! On our first day, we ended up going to the Village on Venetian Bay to do a little shopping, because it was drizzling out. The “village” had cute little shops and restaurants overlooking the water. We stopped for a few drinks at a rooftop bar that had a beautiful view of the bay and the luxurious vacation homes surrounding it. I showed Kruz which home I would buy and obviously it was the one with a boat accessible entrance. A girl can dream!
Luckily, I packed somewhat appropriately for the cooler than expected weather. The jeans I am wearing above are my favorite pair from Madewell. They are a high rise crop, which is flattering on my tall frame and the light wash goes with just about anything (which makes them ideal for packing). My blouse is from the BP department at Nordstrom and sold out while I was away, but I linked a similar one above. It’s so funny that I was comfortable in my light-weight blouse and cropped jeans, because all the locals thought it was “freezing” out. Multiple people commented that they knew I was from out of town because of what I was wearing, but I had to take advantage of the warmer temps!
Later in the week I’ll be sharing a wardrobe moment from our jaunt around Barefoot Beach in Naples. Until then, adios!
