Hi everyone! It’s been quite a while since my last post, so this is way overdue. I’ve had a hectic schedule with work, house hunting, and being a good wife. Haha. Although we are still on the hunt for a home, I won’t let it deter me from writing for the blog any longer. And I will keep my finger crossed that we find something soon. We have a showing tomorrow in Phoenixville, PA so wish us luck!
You may have noticed that all of this outfit’s item links are for Free People products. It should come as no surprise, to the people who I am closest to, that an entirely FP outfit would make an appearance on the blog at some point. Words simply cannot describe my feeling for Free People, or as a matter of fact, all of the URBN brands. I usually try to break my outfits up so that they aren’t all the same brand, but this just felt right and appropriate for a breezy beach day.
I love wearing this dress without any jacket or cardigan, because it allows the cut outs and strappy back to be displayed, and also shows off the cute lace bralettes I wear with it. Although it would be ideal to wear this dress without any bra so that the open back could be more dramatic, I just feel like I need a little support. A lace bralette is the perfect undergarment to give me the support I need, but also not take away from the aesthetic of the dress due to unsightly bra straps showing. My velvet blazer was a perfect third piece to the outfit when the ocean wind got a little chilly, and my open sided flats kept my toes warm while still giving a slightly sandal vibe.
Free People has so many cute dresses coming out for the spring, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a few of them. The one I have my heart set on right now is a beautiful pale blue lace one that I have linked here. It’s the perfect combination of sexy and sweet with the deep V-neck and vintage silhouette. It needs to come home with me on payday!
Well, farewell until next time folks. I’ll be dreaming of flirty FP dresses tonight <3
p.s. Did you see how I snuck a photo of my cutie husband into the post? He’s so supportive of my blog dreams and has done a great job learning to be my photographer, so he deserves a little shout out. Love you babe!
